This Honors seminar will investigate the human condition by observing humanity at its most critical time: when the judgments characters must make radically alter their lives and the lives of those whom they love, or those for whom they are responsible. In many instances these judgments result in death. Additional historical, philosophical, scientific or sociological background material will be presented to contextualize and clarify various aspects of the plays. May be taken for English credit. It may be used to fulfill a General Education requirement or an Honors Program requirement under ""Music"" (sometimes called ?Arts?).

The course provides detailed overviews of factors that influence the establishment of priorities, and the relationship of health care costs to measurable benefits. A major course aim is to enable students to assess the role of organized efforts to influence health policy formulation, and the contributions of medical technology, research findings and societal values on the evolving health care delivery system. Prerequisites: CIS101 or permission of the program director.
