Students will explore how consumers use social media as a means to communicate, create communities, gather information, consume news, create identities and make purchases. Concepts related to digital divide, privacy, and other social issues will be discussed. The course will survey a range of formats used within business and social justice contexts, including blogs, podcasts, video, and other forms of content.
