The focus can be on the organization as a whole, a department or a team, or an individual, or it can even be on an organizational process, program, or project. Tracking the performance of an organization can increase knowledge of operations, provide understanding in how better to use resources and improve customer value. In essence, it can provide opportunities to improve performance, which is critical to the future success of any organization.
