Students entering Alvernia have a one-time opportunity to earn general college credits for life experiences and work achievements made prior to admission. Students must write a statement of goals and objectives and complete a portfolio that both describes and documents the achievements for which they are seeking college credit. Portfolio is examined by the Life Experience Committee, which determines the number of credits, if any, awarded to the student. A detailed description of the requirements for the portfolio is available at the Registrar's Office. Maximum credits available is 30 credits.
