1 S Students produce a weekly public affairs show, which explores topics important to the University and Syracuse community. This magazine show includes field reports and studio interviews. 3 S Gathering and reporting news using electronic means. Edited news reports, under deadline pressure, are final products. Tape, as well as live reporting exercises. Emphasis on television reporting. Coordination with television newscasts. Prereq: PHO 205; RTN 364 and junior standing

3 S Writing, story selection, positioning of local and national stories; plus weather, sports, producing, and anchoring. Hands-on practice at all aspects of TV news presentation, culminating in on-set taping of complete news program at end of workday. Prereq: RTN 564, senior standing
