They will learn about simple machines and build a propeller-powered car. Kids will make and take home their own crystal garden, a center-of-gravity game, a "magic" box which makes objects disappear. A "Skyhawk" foam plane, an "Air Blaster" foam rocket launcher, a bridge building kit, a Cartesian diver, a "Drag Racer" car, and their own batch of ooey gooey slime.

Each day you'll be given a series of challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors and the most important thing of all - your mind. If you were stranded on a desert island how would you survive? You will need to build shelter, find food and purify water, protect yourself and your teammates from the elements and find a way off the island. Journey to the future and examine the ultramodern inventions of the 23rd century. "Create" light saber, "green energy", and hovercraft. With a little bit of ingenuity you'll construct catapults and forts and then lay siege, fabricate a winning Egg Drop design, construct a dancing robot and assemble a Salt Water Fuel Cell Car to take home.

Campers will experiment with super-strong magnets and have a "hair-raising" experience while learning about electricity. They will play tricks on their senses by experimenting with their taste buds and manipulating sound waves. Kids will investigate light waves, explore the properties of color, and then baffle their eyes by exploring optical illusions. They will also play with cool science toys and figure out how they work and analyze the amazing properties of slime. Children will learn how to take good pictures and incorporate them into their own unique scrapbook people, nature, and objects will be captured on film and peserved in a one-of-a-kind book to save these special memories for years to come.

A guided tour around the campus will allow the children to view the many sculptures and paintings exhibited to enhance understanding and appreciation.

Children will have the opportunties to write on their own and as part of a group to create wonderful stories. Award winning literary selections will be introduced and literary medals explained as children learn what makes quality literature. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite books with them and journal writing will be available to all.

Prepare to pitch a tent for a camping outing right here on our campus grounds. Use maps and compasses to find your way around trails and hikes. Sing camping songs, eat smores, and tell stores. Exloplore nature and enjoy camping in the daylight. A summer tradition that is sure to delight and spark imaginations.
