Students will experience an extended placement at an agency with community or therapeutic recreational services. Emphasis will be placed on recreational leadership and supervision. Students are also required to attend a weekly seminar class, meet weekly with a field supervisor and complete log reports. Note: Students must register for both a lecture and a lab. 1 Lecture, 8 Lab, 3 Credit Hours. Pre- or Co-requisites: REC 201 and PSY 202.

Students also are required to attend a weekly seminar class, meet weekly with a field supervisor and complete log reports. A special learning experience designed by one or more students with the cooperation and approval of a faculty member. Proposed study plans require departmental approval. Projects may be based on reading, research, community service, work experience, or other activities that advance the student's knowledge and competence in the field of recreation leadership or related areas. The student's time commitment to the project will be approximately 35-50 hours.

Approved 75 hour course for New York State salesperson's license. Topics include ownerships and interests, contracts, deeds, voluntary alienation, liens, taxes and assessments, transfer of title and title closing, construction, finance, valuation, Human Rights and Fair Housing, and Law of agency.

This 45 hour course, in combination with the salesperson's courses, satisfies the education requirement for a real estate broker's license. Subjects include the brokerage office, mortgages, general business law, leases, property management, general business law, license law, financing, construction and evaluation.

This 'Gap course' is licensees who have taken the 45 hour sales course and need the DOS required supplementary qualifying education. Course content includes: PROPERTY INSURANCE, TAXES & ASSESSMENTS, CONDOMINIUMS & COOPERATIVES, COMMERCIAL & INVESTMENT PROPERTIES, INCOME TAX ISSUES IN REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS, MORTGAGE BROKERS, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.

Learn how to make adjustments, and prorations at closing and how they work into the HUD-1 closing statement.
