End Tidal CO2 monitoring, or capnography, is the non-invasive measurement of the level of carbon dioxide in exhaled breath. Capnography is another method that can be used to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of ventilation, in addition to verification of endotracheal tube placement, evaluation of resuscitative efforts, and effectiveness of treatment modalities. This course offers an overview of pulmonary anatomy and physiology, blood gas analysis, and interpretation of capnography waveforms.
