MAT 433: Analysis IV: Special Topics in Analysis
0.00 - 4.00 Credits
Princeton University
Math 433 this year is intended as an introduction to the theory of dynamical systems. A considerable portion of the course will be devoted to hyperbolicity, beginning with the existance of stable and unstable manifolds and normal form theorems for hyperbolic fixed points, followed by the study of globally hyperbolic (Anosov) diffeomorphisms and flows. Time permitting, other classical topics will be discussed briefly.
