An introduction to both the syntax and semantics (basic model theory) of first-order logic, covering one set of inference rules, sequent calculus or a tableau system and prove the completeness theorem for the proof system. You will also cover a relatively modern (and simpler) form of Incompleteness theorems and relate it to computational issues such as the halting problem, as well as issues related to automating logical reasoning.
