The study and exploration of theories of curriculum and assessment for the teaching of art at the middle and secondary levels with an emphasis on contemporary visual culture. Students are then guided in curriculum development, lesson planning, and appropriate teaching and assessment strategies in preparation for a four week, team teaching field experience that provides for implementation of curriculum theory.
