Students are provided the opportunity to utilize knowledge and promote mental health across the life span. Also included is an exploration of the mental health care delivery system and community resources available. The course offers opportunities for students to enhance personal and interpersonal awareness. Knowledge synthesized from classroom and laboratory experiences provide the base for psychiatric/mental health nursing practice. Three hours lecture and six hours clinical laboratory weekly.
