Required 1st year course 6.5 credit hours Medical Gross Anatomy is primarily a laboratory course based on cadaver dissection, but daily lectures,group discussions and informal laboratory conferences are also used to present material to the student. The importance of structure to function is stressed in many regions of the body. In addition, there are several clinical correlation lectures and a series of clinical vignettes in the textbook that are used to emphasize the clinical relevance of gross anatomy to the practice of medicine.
