The course focuses on fundamental writing problems through extensive work in the construction of sentences, paragraphs, and short essays. Previous or concurrent enrollment in a developmental reading course is encouraged. Near the end of the semester, students will be counseled concerning their progress and what additional work they may need to accomplish their particular writing goals.
