One hour The fundamental concepts of geology, meteorology, and astronomy will be studied through participation in laboratory and field-based activities. This course is designed to give hands-on, inquiry-based knowledge, and applications in the Earth sciences. General topics will include: origin of the universe, solar system and earth, the structure and composition of the earth, physical and historical geology, the atmosphere, weather and climate, and mapping. Geology 105 is a co-requisite or prerequisite for this course.
