Offered Summer, 2004. Prairies have been described as the most endangered ecosystems in North America. This is a fi eld-oriented introduction to prairies, including exploration of unique ecological processes found at the population, community, and ecosystem levels. Special attention will be given to prairie plants, insects, soils, endangered species, and prairie restoration. Prereq: Biol 112 or 201. (3 Credits)
