In the Communication Skills for Supervisors course, participants become aware of the impact of verbal and nonverbal communication in order to capitalize on strengths and improve upon weaknesses. Participants examine the communication process and potential for breakdown. Realization that perception is not necessarily reality will be gained. Students become aware of the various states of listening and how to handle them. Students will recognize the obstacles to good communication in order to avoid them. This course is designed for front-line and middle-level managers and supervisors. Prior to the first meeting, participants complete work online to identify their own behavior style. At the session, participants receive their Extended DISC® Personal Analysis Report that identifies their personal style.
