The student will gain the knowledge of the proper care of climbing tools, and the mastering of climbing wood pole structures. The student must master climbing wood pole structures with and without the use of a pole safety strap. Upon completion of this course the student will also be able to determine the proper aspects of pole inspection, and be able to recognize the hazards of climbing. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be qualified in two methods of pole top rescue. An introduction to aerial pole framing is included in this discipline.
