This course focuses on crisis intervention theories as applied to suicide, rape, family violence, natural and man-made disasters and terrorism. The concentration will be the study of Disaster Mental Health/Field Traumatology as well as Critical Stress Incident Management. (SWK 485-Seminar in social Work listed in the previous bulletin meets the minimum criterion for this course and is an acceptable substitute for credit.) Prerequisites: SWK 200 or PSYC 101.
