Neurons and neuron models, basic signaling mechanisms of neurons, networks of neurons, learning models, learning model algorithms, weight-based memory models. The Hodgkin-Huxley model. A principal emphasis in this course is the development of quantitative models and analysis of neural systems. A term project is required.
