This course is designed to build on the skills learned in IDS 231 and will focus on argumentative and persuasive writing. The assignments in the class will be related to those in Lyceum. In addition to three hours of class time and assigned homework, this course requires a minimum of one hour per week of independent study to be coordinated and supervised by the instructor. Students enrolled in IDS 132 and IDS 232 attend class together. IDS 232 students are expected to perform at a more advanced level and complete different assignments than IDS 132 students, as specified in the course syllabus. Prerequisite(s): Must be coded/admitted as a member of the Bridge Program. Must have a "C" or better grade in IDS-230 or IDS-231 or ENGL-102.

A general education college math course in statistics for students not intending to major in science or mathematics. Topics include descriptive statistics of central tendency, frequency and distribution of events, sample spaces, dispersion, graphing and organization of data, interential statistics, hypothesis testing, and linear regression.

The purpose of this class is designed for graudating students in the Bridge Program to demonstrate proficiency of coursework and technology by creating a portfolio. This class will serve as the last written document and an oral presentation examination before entering upper-division. This capstone project will serve as a right-of-passage demonstrating understanding of the coursework, research, technology, and how this experience applies to their lives and of their development. This class will also serve as a prelude to The Evergreen State College's autobiography class which is a mandatory class for all students in upper-division. Prerequisite(s): Must be admitted into the Bridge Program and a graduating student.

This course provides concepts and hands-on experience in understanding and supporting a PC-compatible microcomputer. Topics include microprocessors, system architecture, system boards, expansion cards, memory, input/output devices, and peripherals. The student learns how to build, configure, and troubleshoot a personal computer, and install its operating system. The objectives of the course are based on those of the A+ Hardware Core Certification Exam. Prerequisite(s): CU-101 or equivalent, or instructor permission.

The student is introduced to operating systems used on desktop microcomputers. The course covers installation and configuration, memory and storage management, batch and script files, device drivers, troubleshooting and maintenance tools, and virus protection. Emphasis is on current Windows operating systems. The objectives of the course are based on those of the A+ Operating System (OS) Technologies Certification Exam. Prerequisite(s): CU-101 or equivalent, or instructor permission.

This course extends the skills learned in IT-110 to more advanced desktop operating systems. Microsoft Windows NT Workstation, Microsoft Windows 2003 Professional, and Linux are installed, configured and maintained. Prerequisite(s): IT-102, IT-110 and IT-260 with a grade of 'C' or higher.

An introduction to project management from a team member perspective. Students will learn the different tools and techniques used in initiating, planning, developing, documenting and completing a project. Prerequisite(s): ENGL&-101 and BUS&-101 or BUS-164 or instructor permission.
