HIM 250: Coding Clinical Capstone

This course provides skill practice for HICS students in their final quarter of the program. The course consists of medical record coding practice (120 hours plus weekly seminar). Coding practice includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergency coding. This is the final capstone experience prior to completion of the program in readiness for employment as a Registered Health Information Specialist. Prerequisite(s): Instructor's Permission.
