GEOG 200: Introduction to ArcView GIS

Provides students with an introduction to the principles of geographic information systems, uses of the technology, and hands-on experience with ArcView software. Practical skills will be learned through tutorials and an independent project in which the student develops a GIS. The independent project will focus on gathering geographic data, assembling the GIS, performing analyses, and presenting the results. Prerequisite(s): Familiarity with Windows software and permission of instrucor.
