This intensive course is designed to refresh students of the essential elements of writing a short essay with emphasis on the organization, unity, development, and coherence of an essay. It will include the topics of the thesis, topic sentences, support of the thesis and topic sentence, introduction and conclusion, transitional words, revision and editing, punctuation, documentation of reliable resources, and using the word processor to format a writing assignment. Prerequisite(s): Assessment at or above ENGL-095 and READ-095.
