Topics; bidding, contract management, scheduling, cost estimating and control, logistics, conflict management, team building, negotiating and risk assessment. Prerequisites & Notes: Prerequisite, permission of the instructor. IET 455 and IET 555 are equivalent courses. Students may not receive credit for both. Description: Application and integration of previous course material in the solution of industrial problems. Results of the project to be presented to the Department in writing and orally before the technology faculty, students and selected industrial representatives. Part I of the project includes methods design, materials selection, engineering and preliminary costs. Part II includes manufacturing concepts, physical facilities, production equipment, personnel requirements, and PERT or CPM. Part III includes finance, quality control and distribution. Prerequisites & Notes: Prerequisites, senior standing and permission of Department Chair. Must be taken in sequence. Credits: (2) Repeatable for Credit Yes Grading Basis GRD
