Through didactic learning, students are introduced to basic nursing theory and knowledge that will be applied throughout the student's nursing education. In the laboratory, students learn the cognitive and affective processes and the psychomotor skills necessary for basic clinical practice. The clinical component of the course is a culmination of didactic and hands-on learning where students apply and practice what they have learned through the course.
