3 credits. This seminar will explore why revolutions were a major feature of the Latin American landscape throughout the modern era and how they contributed to changes in society. In a typical semester the course will explore the lives of leaders such as Che and Emiliano Zapata and investigate the causes and consequences of revolutionary actions in Cuba, Mexico and Nicaragua.
