A faculty recommendation and an interview by the Honors Committee are also required. First semester involves weekly meetings with a faculty member to discuss readings from a comprehensive list prepared by the Spanish faculty. In the second semester, independent research and completion of an honors essay under the supervision of a member of the Spanish faculty are required.
