(3 cr.) Studies principles and techniques of quality engineering for the management, design engineering economics, production, and assurance of quality. Emphasizes fundamentals of total quality assurance for product and process control. May include design review, fundamentals of statistics procurement control, sampling and control chart systems, quality reporting, process capability analysis, tool and gauge control, document control, or troubleshooting quality control. Lecture 3 hours per week.
