Digital image manipulation and retouching will be covered using industry standard photo editing software to produce creative, state-of-the-art portfolio intended images. Studio set-up camera operation and lighting instruction will allow students to develop personal digital pieces. Student's will create digital composite photography for use in a variety of settings. Animation and Motion Graphics covers the creation of animated videos and motion design. The course will explore various types of stop motion animation and the use of key frame animation to produce short motion pictures. In addition to production techniques, students will explore the history of animation as a field of artistic expression. Students will experiment with a variety of ways to create the illusion of life on screen. The animation methods we will include but may not be limited to motion graphics and stop motion.
