The course will trace educational practices such as: educational goals and aims, organizations, curriculum and learning theories, textbooks and other tools of learning, great educators and teachers and their views, educational opportunities of minority groups from the earliest western cultures to the present. Special emphasis will be given to the European influences upon American education and on the approaches taken by American educators to common educational problems.
