SCH 340: Biochemistry I

This course is the first part of the Biochemistry course series: Biochem. I, II, and Lab. Students will be introduced to the detailed information of structures and functions of different classes of biomolecules, including carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Students will also focus on learning the generally applied biochemical procedures on characterizing and purifying biomolecules, as well as diversified functions of different classes of proteins.
