CHE 1375C: Molecular Biochemistry
4.00 Credits
Yeshiva University
Molecular biochemistry explores the central dogma of biology that information flows from DNA to RNA to protein and provides a modern, experimental, atomic-level understanding of how structure influences protein function. Current biochemistry techniques such as PCR, cloning and protein purification are taught as an integrated part of a single semester-long research project. Lecture is integrated into the lab and covers the principles behind the daily experiments, technical details, and the deeper fundamentals of molecular biochemistry. Prerequisite: CHE 1046R and CHE 1046L or CHE 1046H or CHE 1046C and BIO 1011R and BIO 1011L or BIO 1011C.
