This course explores the psychological disorders that first manifest themselves in childhood, including their behavioral manifestations, etiology and treatment. Topics include, but are not limited to, anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, conduct disorders, autism and pervasive developmental disorders, eating disorders, health disorders, and child maltreatment and abuse. The etiology and treatment of the disorders are discussed from various psychological, biological, historical and cultural perspectives.
