This course covers historical and contemporary approaches to the questions of what knowledge is, what makes a belief true, and how beliefs are justified. Philosophical skepticism, the position that we actually know nothing at all, is also discussed, as are possible responses. Other topics include feminist epistemology, naturalism, induction, the ethics of belief, and the nature of the scientific method.
