This course is an overview of multimedia technologies application in profit and nonprofit organizations, and multimedia authoring. Topics include: the principles of current trends in multimedia; application; implication of media hardware and software as it relates to convergence; current and new media technologies to create and meet industry purpose. Basic understanding of various technologies and concepts include: podcasting, webcasting, animation, video, virtual tours, JavaScript, PowerPoint, freeware or shareware programs for audio manipulation and editing, low-bandwidth movie tools.
