The Global Learning Experience at Somerset Christian College is an opportunity for students to enhance their learning experience by incorporating travel into the educational process. Students register for an independent study course in a subject that relates to SCC's mission and vision. They then complete assigned reading prior to participating in a one to two week travel experience with fellow students. During the trip the students benefit from lectures and personal dialogue with SCC faculty, as well as learning from onsite guides or instructors. Students keep a travel journal during the trip, then write a major paper upon their return that relates to the subject under investigation.
