A study of the specific principles of teaching voice, and the fundamentals of phonetics through study of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), articulation, and pronunciation of English vocal and dramatic literature. Both facilitate the notation of musical processes and supply the beginner with a basis for improvisation within prescribed bounds.
