For Healthcare Providers only. This CPR program is taught under the guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA) and taught by AHA certified professionals. The training program is designed for, but not limited to, healthcare providers including doctors, nurses and physician assistants. The course meets the requirements needed for recertification of healthcare providers. Skills necessary to provide basic life support for the adult, child or infant victim will be taught. Emphasis is placed on treatment for a victim who is choking, not breathing or in full cardiac arrest, as well ass recognizing the early warning signs of a heart attack. The course includes both lecture and hands on practice using the latest in mannequin technology to simulate a real cardiac arrest victim. Upon successful completion you will be issued a card from the AHA which is valid for two years. (5 hours/ 1 session)

For Healthcare Providers only. This American Heart Association certified course is designed to address a key knowledge gap in Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Pharmacology. It is a program focused on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge. This is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other health care providers, and is also for ACLS students who need to improve after the ACLS pre-course self assessment test. (16 hours)

For Healthcare Providers only. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider course is designed for Health Care Providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital. The goal of the ACLS provider is to improve the quality of care provided to the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergency. Students will improve skills in the treatment of arrest and peri-arrest patients through a series of simulated cardiac and respiratory cases. The simulations are designed to reinforce important concepts, including the Basic Life Support primary survey, the ACLS Secondary Survey, ACLS Algorithms and Effective resuscitation team dynamics. (16 hours)

Your instructor will help you to understand and appreciate the following terms as they relate to digital photography: exposure, composition, white balance, dynamic range and depth of field. Prerequisites: A digital camera, preferably with a resolution of 4+ megapixels and the option of manual settings for aperture and shutter speed, a tripod, Photoshop Elements 8 or Photoshop CS2, A USB memory stick, Access to an inkjet printer to print weekly assignments. Participants will receive an introduction to photovoltaic system development, including such considerations as resource analysis, technology choice, and New York State specific policy incentives, as well as an introduction to economic feasibility analysis using RETScreen, Version 4. This workshop will combine a series of interactive presentations with case-study based, small group problem solving.
