Prerequisite: able to swim 200 yards without stopping (testing first night). Basic skin and scuba diving instruction leading to national certification. Rental of regulators, weight belts, vest and wet suits can be arranged in class, approximately $50. Additional expenses: $250-300. Includes lectures and pool diving. 8 sessions.

Learn the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to acquatic emergencies both in a pool and at a waterfront environment. This course prepares participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies to prevent drownings and emergencies. Contact our office for prerequisites and certification requirements. Textbook fee of $25.00 and certification fee of $30.00 to be paid in class.

Participants must be 16 years old, have passed the Instructor Candidate Training or American Red Cross Health and Safety Instruction and must pass the precourse written and skills test.

Are you ready ZUMBA? Come join us for a "feel happy" workout that is great for both the body and the mind. ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music-high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allows you to dance away your worries. ZUMBA is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO". It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

Basic steps in foxtrot, waltz, lindy, cha-cha, merengue, hustle and polka. Fundamentals are given to make it easier for students to master the various dance patterns. Everyone must enroll with a partner and registration cards must be completed by each person. Instructors advise that students wear comfortable shoes, however, sneakers are not recommended. 12 sessions.
