    This semester-long module consists of 115 classroom hours of training, including 30 hours on counselor-client relationship; 6 hours on effective community education programs; 15 hours on ethics of professional practice; 21 hour on assessment and evaluation; and 21 hours on writtend documentation. Attendance and particiapation is required in all sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion. Risk factors; relationship of mental illness and addictions to suicide; how to determine immediate risk for suicide; how to question suicidal persons; and how to refer suicidal persons to resources will be covered.

    This semester long program consists of 107 classroom hours of training and will include 30 hours on the perspectives of chemical/alcohol dependency; 12 hours on the Alcoholism Primer; 19 hour of diversity and treatment approaches; 9 hours of training for the addictions professional, including 12 step and other self help groups; 15 hours on psychoactive drugs and their physical and mental effects; and 22 hours in experiential work groups. Attendance and participation is required in all sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion.
