    In this course, students develop the writing skills required to begin college-level composition. Students learn control and development of the paragraph. They review the composing process, as well as word and sentence skills. Students also develop some control of internal punctuation, modifiers, and sentence variety. A grade of Pass (P) indicates that the student is ready for Freshman English 1. Prerequisite: placement by the English Dept. or successful completion of WRT 030 *not applicable to associate degrees or certificate programs
