3 hours credit. Prerequisite: Six hours of early childhood courses, or 2 years of experience in a licensed facility, or permission from instructor. This course will enable the student to demonstrate an understanding of the Kansas Statutes and Regulations for Licensing Preschools and Child Care Centers. The student will be able to use concepts of observation and evaluation in licensed centers, with individual children, and in a self-reflective process. Field experience allows the student to implement an understanding of age appropriate curriculum for infant, toddler, and preschool age children.
