    This class will provide instruction, guidance, and assistance for participants to develop an essay, research paper, and a business letter. Conducted in a modern, state-of-the-art computer lab, this class will use all that technology has to offer to have students create outstanding documents through word processing. This fast-paced, interactive class will make writing fun. Students will organize and write a paragraph than an essay. The components of a modern, business letter will be discussed culminating with the creation of business letter. The course will conclude with an abbreviated session on research writing and then the students will create a short research paper using proper documentation.

This is the foundation course in a series of courses entitled ¿Marketable Mechanical and Electrical Skills¿. Workplace Advantage covers a broad range of skills and initiatives required to be successful in today¿s workplace. Particular emphasis is placed on job ready skills and practical applications. The course is designed to give participants a solid grounding in foundational skills required in today¿s industrial or commercial environment.
