This is a continuation of the study of American Sign Language using the Bravo series for conversational signing and studying grammar and linguistics. Students will gain a broader understanding of Deaf culture and Interpreting. This course is built on the student¿s knowledge from the previous two sessions and will focus on finger spelling, classifiers, expanded vocabulary and interaction with the Deaf, sign parameters, sentence structure and diagramming, and information on Deaf and Interpreting organizations.

Course will cover helping relationships, basic attending skills, open and closed questioning, paraphrasing, overall assessment process and assessment in crisis situations. This course will provide for the learner an understanding and application of the newest ideas, concepts and practices that are being implemented into the Human Services field.
