Students will be taught continuing advanced stitches and techniques; tatting over wire to give form to a tatted piece; tatting with copper wire; beginning design. Students will work on larger class projects as well as projects that students want to tat.

This course is designed to help participants prepare to take skills and ability tests for employment, program placement and college entry. To perform your best on any test, you need to feel confident and positive. By understanding the techniques and practicing test taking, the participant will be able to focus on relating the knowledge they have instead of reacting in fear and blocking that knowledge. The course content will also provide a review of the skills needed for reading, writing and math tests so that the participant can be aware of weak areas in need of improved skills. The student will also understand the process to use to complete a personality assessment.

Bronzing a scarf is better defined as taking a plain white silk scarf and rusting it. This is a technique which takes advantage of the chemical reaction between copper and iron to create beautiful images. While waiting for the scarves to process, we will create another art project to hold a picture. All materials will be provided¿and you will leave with completed projects.

Originally a World War II military base, Camp Atterbury is now Indiana¿s premier training and mobilization site for all branches of the United States military, the Army reserve, and the Indiana National Guard. This 30,000-acre camp has deployed 50,000 troops in support of the global war on terrorism. Depending on training schedules, you visit the museum, simulated Iraqi village, and dog search and rescue training facilities. You rub elbows with soldiers while eating in the Mess Hall.

Originally, a bright yellow Queen Anne, the historic Ruddick-Nugent house was remodeled to its current style after the 1904 St. Louis World¿s Fair. Now an elegant B&B, the current owners modernized the property to preserve the period ambiance. Eclectic objects of art collected while serving in the Peace Corp and other travels are displayed throughout the house. Extensive landscaping welcomes visitors. Light refreshments are served.

This program will provide guidance for basic tree and shrub pruning. In this class you will identify appropriate pruning tools and provide examples of pruning technique. Basic tree and shrub problems will also be addressed with respect to pruning requirements.
