The focus of this course is Homefront USA, with the focus on Evansville¿s role in World War II. Discussion points will include Evansville¿s numerous war industries, how the war affected local culture, the Evansville WW II media, and the FBI shipyard spy investigation. Analogies to Evansville today will be discussed. Background will include: the Third Reich, and America¿s attempt to avoid war. Several speakers will address the class including local WW II veterans, Rosie-the-Riveters, and local experts on WW II Evansville.

In the blink of an eye we flew through our youth and middle age, and have arrived in our senior years with a new set of joys and challenges. Together we will discover the meaning and value of authenticity, and explore skills, techniques and resources for developing and maintaining an increased level of fitness in mind, body and spirit. This 2-session course will be formatted in discussion, self-reflection, small group activities, sharing of life stories and resources, and will provide a supportive environment for asking life questions, challenging the answers, and making decisions for moving forward in life¿s journey. Each participant will determine her own level of accomplishment through goal setting and action planning. A suggested reading list will be distributed upon registration.

You will be given tools that can be used for a lifetime to help bring a renewed sense of personal satisfaction and begin new routines that can add enjoyment to your life. Participants will enjoy a day of age appropriate exercise, food demonstration, lunch and an introduction to reflexology. Exercise mats will be provided and participants should wear non-restrictive clothing and appropriate footwear.
