Be introduced to Dante¿s mysterious and memorable Divine Comedy (1308-21), a poetic/allegorical account of a trip to Hell, Purgatory, Heaven and back. Some of the book¿s sources, ideas, and allusions are unscrambled for you. You explore the text¿s influence, including the reader¿s frequent sensation that Dante is describing ¿ in the Inferno especially ¿ places with which we somehow already feel familiar. You do not need to read the book beforehand. At registration you are notified of a few key sections that are treated in some detail if you choose to prepare by reading them.
