PERS DAT1: How to P.I.C.K. a Partner
0.00 Credits
Ivy Tech Community College
Want to follow your heart without losing your mind? Then P.I.C.K. a Partner is just for you. These classes are for singles who want to understand their own roles in their relationships and how a partner¿s behavior predicts the type of spouse they would be. Premarital Interpersonal Choices & Knowledge (P.I.C.K) allows singles to learn aspects about themselves and what they are looking for in a partner, so they can learn How To Avoid Marrying a Jerk(ette)TM. At one time or another, we have heard the old quote, ¿love is blind.¿ It might have been at the miserably mismatched wedding; or, when your best friend forgave a partner the hundredth time for the same crime; or, when a recently divorced person finally could see the red flags of their ex-partner from the dating years. The accumulation of experiences leads everyone to wonder if anyone could ever follow their heart without losing their mind. P.I.C.K. a Partner provides singles and singles-again an easy-to-use plan which portrays the balance between getting to really know the person you are dating while keeping a healthy balance in the connections of your growing relationship.

PERS DBT1: Debt Elimination Techniques That Work
0.00 Credits
Ivy Tech Community College
If you are like most people, you are drowning in a sea of debt and looking for someone to throw you a lifeline. Well, this course is that lifeline. You will not be pointed to debt consolidation in this course. It just does not make sense to use more debt to solve a debt problem. This course will teach you a specific and workable strategy that will get you out of all debt--including your mortgage--in the shortest possible time. The strategy presented is not new, nor is it rocket science. It is a simple, easy-to-understand method that just flat out works. However, getting out of debt is only part of the answer. You will also be pointed down a new path concerning spending, saving and handling money that will keep you out of debt forever. It does little good to be rescued only to be thrown back into the same situation again. If you want to stop the financial hemorrhaging, keep more of your hard-earned money, reduce stress, get more enjoyment out of life, and possibly even save your marriage, this is the course for you. Note: no insurance, investments, or get-rich-quick schemes will be offered.
