In this course you will learn the fundamentals of the West Coast Swing. Basic steps and patterns will be introduced with an emphasis on lead/follow. The West Coast Swing is a couples¿ rhythm dance consisting primarily of 6 and 8 patterns that cover a slotted area on the dance floor. West Coast incorporates the use of underarm turns, side passes, push breaks and whips ¿ plus rhythm breaks, syncopations and extensions. Class size limited to 12 couples.

Is a social dance done in time to music that occurs on a steady recognizable "downbeat". The ability to take steps to the downbeat and still come back in time with you partner is widely accepted as steppin. The smooth gracefulness of the dance is also a characteristic of the dance. The dance includes a lead and follow position and thus to be well executed requires physical interaction between the individuals. Various turn patterns, footwork and pulls are all inclusive elements of the dance.

Hula hoops are not just for kids anymore! Using a customized adult size hula hoop is a fun way to create lean muscle and to increase cardio endurance. Hoopdancing is an expressive way to combine dance and exercise with a hula hoop. Come learn the basic steps of hoopdancing and learn how to combine these steps to create your own style of hoopdancing. Each class will consistent of a 5 minute warm-up; 45 to 50 minutes of learning step by step specific moves and how to combine these moves into a fluid hoopdancing routine; and 5 to 10 minutes of a cool-down and stretching. Hoopdancing moves may vary from list below depending on how fast or slow the class as a whole is picking up each new move.
